Move2Cloud
Starting Point
Statement of Pluxee Portugal Representative
"When the program Move to Cloud started, we asked the Unicorn team for a support for building of Azure environment for the LEA project with very challenging timeline for all involved parties and expected high flexibility and quick response times from Unicorn team for this delivery. The mission was successfully accomplished. This cooperation has proven that Unicorn can effectively support us in creating further new business solutions built in Azure environments.
As part of the Sodexo spin-off, we needed to migrate all original IT infrastructure assets into a new Pluxee environment. With Unicorn’s support, the transition of our Azure environment proved to be the smoothest part of this process. For many of the originally on-premises assets, moving to the cloud also turned out to be the most effective approach during the spin-off.
We appreciate the results of the aforementioned cooperation to date and count on the Unicorn's continued support for upcoming projects to migrate our other complex business systems to the Azure cloud."

Our Solution
Over the following 18 months, we delivered new Azure environments for project LEA and five additional business projects, including Sodexo4You (Consumer and Transaction domains), SodexoOne, and NGM integration. Alongside these business initiatives, we also implemented two smaller infrastructure applications:
- Veeam Backup – Azure storage for offloading backups of on-premises assets (Capacity and Archive Tiers).
- WORM – secure backup of administrator passwords for on-premises assets, supporting break-glass scenarios.
In addition, we contributed to a proof of concept for replacing HA NFS storage (DRBD).
Carveout Project (2024)
In 2024, the Carveout project was launched to transform Sodexo Belgium into Pluxee
Belgium, including the transition of Azure assets into a new Pluxee tenant. As part of this
initiative, we migrated all applications previously built under M2C.
In parallel, we supported the migration of selected on-premises IT assets. Approximately
30% of the original on-premises Windows servers (65 out of 195 VMs) were migrated to
Azure under the “Escape to Cloud” strategy.
For the remaining on-premises scope, a new initiative was launched to build the AVS
platform. In collaboration with Pluxee global and local teams, as well as Microsoft CMF, we
delivered a quick-win solution for non-production application environments (development
and integration testing) in AVS. Our contribution focused on building several foundation
features, including backup and monitoring.
M2C Resumption (2025)
In March 2025, the M2C program resumed with the primary goal of completing the AVS
delivery and migrating all non-production on-premises VMs to the new AVS platform. We
coordinated the migration of VMs (executed by Microsoft CMF and validated by our team),
covering 45 VMs across 15 applications.
