ProGEO 26: Technology, DTM and Safety in Practice
8.10.2026 | Reading time: 7 minutes
Geoinformatics, DTM & ProGEO
The morning programme focused on the latest developments in digital technical maps and introduced ProGEO 26 – a new generation of solutions for surveying and design practice.
The first part focused on DTM: Current Status and Upcoming Changes. Participants received up-to-date information on DTM Czech Republic and DTM ŘSD, upcoming changes in JVF DTM 1.5.0.2, and their practical impact on data processing and delivery. Information on UDM was also included.
This was followed by the ProGEO 26 and a Look into the Future session, which presented the main changes and new features compared to ProGEO 21. Attention was given to new features and workflows across the DTM, ČEZ Distribuce, E.GD, ŘSD, CETIN and other modules. The programme also included practical demonstrations and an introduction to the upcoming DMT 2.0 module – from its concept and planned capabilities to its future direction and purchasing options.
Technology, Practical Demonstrations and Security
The afternoon programme opened with News from the World of Bentley. The session explored the latest technological possibilities and their practical applications in surveying and design practice. It also covered BIM for Surveyors, focusing on how BIM data and technologies can be used directly in surveying practice.
This was followed by DTM Through the Eyes of an Editor, offering a perspective on the Digital Technical Map from someone who works with it on a daily basis. Participants gained insight into real-world experience, practical data editing and delivery, as well as a specific demonstration of a DTM editor’s workflow.
The afternoon session concluded with Information Security and the ZoKB. Current cybersecurity and information security requirements are no longer relevant only to IT departments. The Cybersecurity Act (ZoKB) also has implications for the day-to-day operations of surveying, construction and other companies. The final part of the professional programme therefore focused on the practical impact of these requirements and what they mean for everyday practice.
“Thank you to all 95 participants who joined us and helped create such a welcoming atmosphere throughout the seminar. A big thank you also goes to our partner Bentley for supporting the event. It was a successful event, with active participation and a great atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you again next time!”
