Jira Cloud to a Single Instance
Jira Cloud Three Times
Emplifi originally had three separate Jira Cloud instances for task assignment, task management, and reporting and statistics evaluation. However, Emplifi needed to consolidate everything into one place to have a unified overview of their projects and avoid managing them separately in three separate environments.
For instance, users couldn't access data from one instance in another, requiring them to log in separately to each one. Managers and employees who needed access to all instances had to use three individual accounts, resulting in unnecessary time and effort spent on retrieving project information, evaluation, and reporting. Additionally, the company had to pay for a larger number of Atlassian licenses due to the increased number of accounts.
Emplifi is an American company based in New York that develops and sells customer experience systems. The company provides a unified marketing, commerce and care platform that enables brands to understand their customers' needs and preferences better and offer them personalized experiences.
Migration to the Cloud
For Emplifi, we migrated all three instances into one. First, we conducted an analysis of each instance, verified whether all applications and plugins could be migrated, and proposed how to transfer them to the target instance. The migrated instance was then adjusted to match the original structure.
As part of the delivery, we also provided technical support to the client. During the trial period, the company could test whether everything was functioning as intended. We helped the client quickly address any questions and concerns. A typical issue, for example, was merging duplicate schemas into one in the new instance.
All Projects in One Place
Today, Emplifi's company managers see all projects under one roof. They can evaluate work easily and efficiently in a single Jira Cloud instance using just one account. They no longer need to constantly log in and out of multiple instances to get a complete picture of what's happening in their company.
As part of the delivery, we unified user accounts across all instances. This reduced the overall number of accounts, resulting in cost savings for the client in terms of Atlassian licenses. As a platinum Atlassian partner, we also provided Emplifi with licenses at advantageous prices.
