Business Case Management
The Czech Business Insurance Company, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "ČPP") has decided to innovate its system for recording business cases (the "EOP"). The reason was the technological obsolescence of the solution, which did not allow for its further efficient development, and also the need to integrate it more with not only internal systems but also to open it up to external partners. In line with the previous strategic decision of the Vienna Insurance Group (hereinafter referred to as "VIG") to use the Camunda platform for managing, administering, and monitoring processes, the decision was made to use it for the implementation of the new EOP.
Our company, Unicorn Systems, Inc., was selected as the implementation partner. The initial phase of the project, consisting of replacing the functionalities of the original EOP, was successfully carried out by us, and the solution is now in operation. Subsequent phases of the project involve extensive expansion of functionalities and its expected deployment also in the second member insurance company of the VIG group - Kooperativa pojišťovna, Inc.

Our Solution
The solution also includes functionality for managing and recording risk management messages, integrating insurance advisor tools for policy issuance, checking for duplicate business cases, and ensuring their transfer and notification to relevant staff. Subsequently, the solution will be expanded to include the management and processing of amendments, obtaining additional client information, and enabling the integration of external partners.
The output of the initial and subsequent phases of implementation is an application that, compared to the previous state, better supports the process of handling a business case, expands functionality to process amendments, and, through broader integration, eliminates manual work. This speeds up and streamlines the entire process.
The supplier team, Unicorn Systems, Inc., provided a complete delivery of the implemented solution, consisting primarily of defining business and technical specifications, application development and testing, and its deployment into operation.
